Your rear mech hanger is the small, replaceable link between the frame and the rear derailleur. It is designed to bend or break in a crash so the frame does not, so it is worth keeping a spare.

This is the direct mount hanger, for Shimano direct mount derailleurs. Select your bike above: Forge (stamped 339) for Shimano 105 R7100, Ultegra R8100 or Dura-Ace R9200; Shift (stamped 358 or 369) for Shimano Ultegra R8100 or Dura-Ace R9200. The Shift hanger also fits the On&On Adventure: Shimano GRX RX825 Di2 can be used with the direct mount by removing the link on the derailleur. Running SRAM, or Shimano GRX RX820 1x? What is a derailleur hanger, and should I keep a spare?

It is the small, replaceable link between your frame and rear derailleur, designed to bend or break in a crash so the frame does not. Because it is sacrificial, it is well worth keeping a spare so a bent hanger never cuts a ride short.

How do I know which hanger or axle I need?

The right part depends on your model and its year. Each listing states the Pearson models and years it fits. If you are unsure, send us your frame details and we will identify the correct part.

What is the difference between a standard and a direct mount hanger?

A standard hanger bolts to the frame and the derailleur attaches to it, while a direct mount hanger interfaces directly with compatible derailleurs. Your frame and groupset determine which you need; the listing states which fits.

How do I identify which hanger I have?

Each hanger carries a stamped reference. The Forge hanger is stamped 339. The shared Shift and On&On direct mount hanger carries two numbers, 358 and 369; both are on the same hanger, so either one confirms you have the right part. If you are unsure, send us a photo and we will check.

Which groupsets are compatible?

Compatibility is listed in the key features for each part, covering the Shimano and SRAM groupsets it suits. If your setup is not listed, get in touch and we will check it for you.

Which hanger does the On&On Race use?

The On&On Race uses a UDH (universal derailleur hanger) only; it does not take a standard or direct mount hanger. It suits SRAM RED XPLR and Shimano GRX RX827 Di2 setups.

My On&On Adventure came with a hanger. Can I fit a direct mount one?

The On&On Adventure ships with the standard mount hanger, which suits Shimano GRX RX820 1x and RX825 Di2. If you run RX825 Di2, it can also be used with the direct mount hanger by removing the link on the derailleur.
